Welcome to Talk American Football - the new home of American Football on the web. The site is currently under development but we are proud to say that the guide to American Football is up and available.
American Football has for a long time been a confusing sport for many British fans, but we are here to help. Please click on the Guides tab at the top of the page to be taken to Liz Stratford's introduction to the sport. Learn everything you need to know from the rules to the great players to how to get started if you are interested in taking your interest in the sport further.
One thing most people don't understand when it comes to American Football is the rules. Well we have it all covered as everything is broken down. If you are unsure of the Downs rule or what all the positions are and what they do - then check out the rules page and you'll become an American Football aficionado in no time.
Legends & Equipment
As for some of the legends of the game we all know what OJ Simpson was accused of doing but before he became a household name over here he was one of the greatest Running Backs who ever lived. Read about him and the other greats in the guides.
If you are interested in playing the sport then check out the getting started section of the guide. It will help you find a club and tell you all about some of the vital equipment that you'll need to keep you safe on the field of play.
